*Updated* Pregnancy Freebies List

*Updated 4/30/2018*

Are you pregnant, a new mom or know someone who is?  Here is a roundup of current pregnancy/baby freebies!  Some of these make great, inexpensive gifts for those expecting mothers in your life!  So here’s the list (and feel free to let me know if you have any to add!)

(I’ve added a section at the bottom of this post for freebies, deals, samples, and trial offers that are not directly pregnancy related, but might be beneficial to you as well!)

Create an Free Amazon Baby Registry and receive a Welcome Box!  According to Amazon, for a limited time, starting November 26, 2016, the box will include SwaddleDesigns blanket, a Philips Avent 4oz baby bottle, a full pack of Elements sensitive wipes, a baby toy from Kids II or Oball and more inside.  Directions will appear on your registry dashboard after you create it.

If you’re a sports fan, you’ve got to check out LittleFans.com

They sell NFL and NCAA branded baby items like pacifiers, shoes, bibs, cups, bottles, etc.  While you will have to pay shipping and handling (usually around $13), if you use code TFF17 at checkout, you’ll receive $35 off your order.  And you can use it as many times as you want.  With the code, you can definitely score some free items (+ S&H) or almost free items, depending on what you pick out.

PicMonkey Collage

These are some of my favorite freebies!  Everything in the photo above is FREE with the coupon code.  The catch?  You have to pay shipping.  I know, that technically doesn’t mean it’s “free,” but the item itself is free, and it makes them a lot less expensive than the name brand counterparts.  Shipping varies depending on the item, but is usually around $10.  Here are the links to each of the items.  Use code ThriftyFree2016 for all of them 🙂

Note: Codes can be used as many times as you want in separate transactions!

Use Promotion Code ThriftyFree2016 TODAY!Oh my goodness, these are so adorable!  Check out all the options over at Eskimo Kids and use code THRIFTYFREE2016 to receive $35 off!  That makes the hat free, and you just pay shipping & handling!

Earth Mama Special

Use Earth Mama’s Free Birth Plan generator to simplify the process of mapping out your desires for your baby’s birth.  This is also a great tool to knowing about options you may not have known about or considered yet, as they are all listed for you to choose from.  Once you’ve completed it online, it will be emailed to you to print out.  Give a copy to your doctors, midwives, birth team, family, etc.  This will help ensure everyone is on the same page.

When I completed my birth plan, it gave me a coupon code for 15% off!  Did you get one?

I have strong opinions about commercial formula, but I am writing about the Similac Strong Moms program because they send you $20 to Shutterfly for Baby Announcements, and that was worth me signing up for a FREE account.  They will also send you sample cans of formula, which I’ve just donated in the past.

As a side note, if your baby can’t breastfeed and you want an alternative to commercial formulas, check out Beautiful Babies: Nutrition for Fertility, Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Baby’s First Food.  It’s a wonderful book full of practical information, and there’s a great recipe for homemade baby formula in it as well.

Use Promotion Code ThriftyFree2016 TODAY!

Get 3 of these adorable Ruffle Buns for FREE using code THRIFTYFREE2016.  Just like the other deals, you do need to pay shipping & handling, but the three pairs themselves are free.   Shipping is usually around $15 for these.   You can also use the code as many times as you want in separate transactions!

Planning on starting a baby registry somewhere?  Several stores offer “Welcome Gift Bags” for registering with them, including Target and Babies R Us.  I haven’t personally gotten one from Babies R Us (I didn’t register in-store with them when I was pregnant with C), but I did receive one for registering in-store with Target.  My welcome pack included coupons for tons of items including bottles, diapers, wipes, pacifiers, maternity clothing, swaddle blankets, nursing tanks, and more.  There was also a $20 Shutterfly voucher in the bag (my favorite!), as well as disposable nursing pads, a sample diaper and wipes set, and sample baby care products.  I’m sure each location will vary a little bit, but it was worth it to me to pick one up (and it’s free, so why not?).  I haven’t registered for this baby yet, so I’m not sure what exactly comes in the current pack, but I did call my local Target store and they confirmed that each store does it.  Just go to guest services and ask to register.  They will help you set up the registry and the little scanner gun.  If they don’t hand you a welcome pack, just ask.  Sometimes they might forget.

Destination Maternity Corporation

Also, when I made my first purchase at Motherhood Maternity, they put my due date in their system and gave me a welcome pack.  It included a $20 Shutterfly voucher, as well as coupons for Fisher Price items, babycare products, Cord Blood Banking, and other baby items.  I can’t remember the rest of what was in it, but if you plan on purchasing something there, make sure to ask for one if they don’t give you one to begin with.  I was able to use all the Shutterfly vouchers I had from the different welcome kits to buy photo books of C’s first year (I did a book every 4 months).

  1. I have to say, thank you, thank you, thank you! You just saved me $125 on things I still needed to buy for the baby. I paid $16.90 for a nursing cover set (the kind with the pop up top thing, nursing bracelet and nursing pads), $42.90 for a car seat cover (the entire set not just the blanket on top) and $12.90 on a nursing pillow. That all includes shipping. Plus I’m supporting small business as these products are made by a fellow mom. YES!

  2. First time Mommy says:

I just had a question, I’m thinking about getting the nursing pillow but I was wondering what someone who has it thinks of it? Does it work for when the baby is a little older too? I don’t want the baby to grow out of it and have to get something else later. Thanks!

    • I have a similar nursing pillow and I am still using it at 14 months. It was most difficult to use during the first few week because he was so small.

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

      Hi First Time Mommy,

I don’t personally have the nursing pillow in this post, but friends have purchased it and some find it a little small, but others think it’s the right size. I use the My Breast Friend Pillow and really like it because it straps on to me, so I’m not constantly adjusting the pillow while nursing. Hope that helps!

    • I got the pillow and its horrible! It’s so small, I use it when my 4yo holds the baby. I prefer the boppy!

    • Danielle says:

I have one. It was just delivered a few weeks back. It is much smaller than you’d think and probably wouldn’t work for older babies.

    • Ann Rozeboom says:

I have the nursing pillow! I love it

  3. Thank you so much! Just bought the glider and it was exactly what I was wanting to get and right in my price range. I am going to have a friend make a cover for the cushion so I can customize it to the baby’s room 🙂

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

I’m so glad you were able to get the glider! I LOVE my glider! It’s definitely my favorite place to sit! And what a great idea to customize the cover to match the nursery! I’d love to see pictures of the final result if you want to share when you’re done!

  4. This is a great list! What incredible deals! Thanks for sharing 🙂

  5. kelly jacobson says:

I am not sure how this all works. Can you please give details. I’m guessing you click on the highlighted site for the links. But not sure how you enter codes to get free things. Like for instance I clicked on The pouch swing and it took me to their site. What to do when I get on their site? I know I might sound like I’m a little crazy for not knowing! LOL please help thanks again

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

      Hi Kelly,

Go to the site you’d like to order from, and enter the item you’d like to purchase to your cart. Enter the code at checkout into the coupon code box and press apply. It will deduct the discount from your total. Hope that helps!

  6. Amazing! I just got a pair of pants for $5!!!

  7. Hi, another first time mom. I am glad someone posted this. I knew about most of them. An FYI to anyone else: I ordered pregnancy panties, bras and pregnancy scrubs for work on Amazon and they included a bag of coupons that included many of the ones mentioned above. They also included an few samples and coupons to babies r us and buy buy baby.

  8. Hi, this is a great list of baby stuff! But I am wondering if anyone had ordered the sling or the carseat canopy from Canada. I live in canada and I’m wanting to order, but I’m also worried there maybe over charges. Did you have any problems or other charges? Thank u

  9. hi, has anyone ordered from Canada? I want to order the car seat canopy and the sling but I am worried there maybe be over charges.

sorry if this comes up twice I tried to post this earlier.

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

Sorry, the posts don’t pop up immediately because I get so much spam that I have to go through and manually allow comments (and make sure they were written by an actual human being) 🙂

I haven’t heard from anyone about the shipping to Canada, but I’ll email the company and ask! 🙂

    • The sling is not very safe to use. Please consider spending a little more and getting a Ring sling or something like a Moby. They will last much longer. Not just a few months. They are way safer to use too.

  10. Thanks for sharing this!! I got a car seat canopy, baby sling and thinking about the nursing pads! Smokin’ hot deals!! 😀

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

Awesome! I have to say, the nursing pads are a great! I have several brands of washable nursing pads (everything from Nuk brand from Target to expensive hand made pads from Etsy) and these are my favorite. I leak a lot, especially in the beginning, and these are thick enough that I don’t leak through, and very soft. Did I just share too much information? 🙂 Sorry if so!

  11. I was wondering if you happen to know how long each of these deals are good for? We are finding out what we are having next week but I don’t want to wait and miss out on the deals 🙂 Im especially interested in the car seat cover. So Cute!

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

      Hi Emily,
Congratulations on your baby bump! It’s so exciting to find if the baby’s a boy or a girl!

As of right now, there’s no expiration on the codes for the carseat cover, nursing cover, nursing pillow, baby leggings, belly button band, nursing pillow, nursing pads, or the sling. And the code can be used as many times as you want. I try to keep this post updated as it is quite the popular post! I actually originally wrote it almost a year ago, and it’s been so popular that I keep adding to it as I find new freebies. Hope that helps!

      Ally @ Thrifty Family Finds

      • Thanks so much! Yes we are excited to find out!
Thanks so much for all the information. It’s so nice to find a deal on things that you already need to get 🙂

  12. Rhianna says:

Does anyone know if the car seat cover (the whole thing) is just universal or what? I have an Eddie Bauer car seat and I want to make sure it will fit! I emailed them weeks ago n never got a reply!

  13. I just registered at babies r us and they also give a gift bag full of goodies. Mine came with a sample diaper/wipe set in a cute clutch. A bottle, sample of nursing pads and coupons galore.

  14. How comfy is the glider? I’ve been looking at gliders, just want comfort

  15. Anyone know what size the baby leggings fit? It seems to say nowhere on the site. I want to get them for my newborn but don’t know how big they are, so I don’t know if there is any point to that.

  16. has anyone else read all the terrible reviews on tis lady’s companies that offer all the “just pay shipping” deals? Everything I’ve read is just terrible. I can’t find a single positive review on the sling, the udder cover, or anything else. Perhaps it’s not doing us pregnant mama’s a favour posting these “freebies” if they are scams for crappy products? Just a thought.

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

      Hi Megan,

Thank you for commenting! Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinions, but I would never post a scam! I’ve personally used a lot of the products and feel that for the price, I’m getting a good deal. But again, it’s up to each person to decide if they feel it’s a good value. Obviously something that’s free isn’t going to be the same quality as something that costs an arm and a leg, but I also wouldn’t expect it to.

And it really depends on the product. I’ve had the same 10 pairs of nursing pads from this company for 3 years (2 years of use between 2 children) and they are still in great shape. I actually like them much better than the store bought nursing pads and a few different pairs I bought on Etsy. The sling, on the other hand, didn’t work well for me because it’s not adjustable. I prefer my ring sling or Ergo. A lot of my friends have the Carseat Canopy and the nursing pillow and love them (I have heard from them that the nursing pillow is a little smaller than a Boppy so keep that in mind – they have used it for nursing as well as tummy time). The Udder Cover I have is great, but I was only able to nurse for a couple months before I had to start pumping so I never got the hang of using any cover.

Again, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I would never post anything that scammed people!

      – Ally

  17. The thredup link didn’t work 🙁

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

Oh no! Do you mean the link is broken or the credit wasn’t issued? Thanks for letting me know so I can get it fixed ASAP!

  18. where can I find the glider and ottoman set? i clicked on the link and it’s an error.

  19. Thank you so much for this!! As a first-time mom, I’m all about saving some money because I know it’ll add up quick. I’m only in the first trimester but I ordered almost everything (except the carseat set and leggings because I don’t know the gender yet)

    • Thrifty Family Finds says:

      Hi Tiffany!

You’re welcome! It’s so fun preparing for baby, but it can be SO expensive! Glad you found this post helpful!

      -Ally @ Thrifty Family Finds

  20. I had the sling, the udder cover and the nursing pads for my first. I loved the sling, it was easy and my son loved it. But it isn’t for everyone, early on when they are around 5 mo they have their legs in a funny position. It was really nice as a hold him on my hip support. I’d get it again just for that. The udder cover was helpful, but the fabric I had was dark and it clung in a weird way. So it could be hot by attracting the sun and an irritating clingy at times. My son would try to push it out of the way and I always worried about him getting overheated. The design and construction great, fabric choice not so good. The nursing pads are soft, but I personally leaked through them for the first few months. I would have needed two pairs per day per day of the week. I ended up opting for disposables because they had the plastic backing, no matter what I leaked it would stop it from going through my bra. Later when I didn’t leak so heavily I used them for their softness. Plus they felt nice when my nipples would get sore. Hope this helps!

  21. Are you guys satisfied with the car seat cover? First time so I want to get it right the first time 🙂 thanks!!

  22. Thrifty Family Finds says:

    Hi Cortnie!

I don’t personally have this car seat cover (my daughter is in a convertible car seat as she’s a bit older), but I have friends who have purchased them and love them. Hope that helps!
