I was never a really big jewelry wearer growing up. I had ear piercings and got a small stud in my nose when I was 18, but other than the occasional necklace, I really never got into jewelry. When I met Chris, he started buying me jewelry. And now I really appreciate jewelry 🙂 Although, I still can’t see past the price tag. As odd as it may sound, I’m not the girl who wanted an engagement ring worth 3 months of paychecks. I actually gave Chris a budget I wanted him to stay within when we talked about getting married (and let’s just say that when people hear it, they think I was crazy. It was under $1000 by a lot). It’s not that I wouldn’t like an extravagant ring. But because we were just out of college and not financially stable, it just didn’t feel right to have a huge rock on my finger while we pay off student loans.
And let me tell you, my ring, the one that was within our tiny budget, is gorgeous! It is real diamonds and white gold, has a vintage feel, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The great deal Chris got on it just adds to my love for it! 🙂
