Thrifty Family Finds is 1 year old! Yay! I know that when I started TFF a year ago, I really had no idea if anyone would even read it and to see where it’s at now, I’m amazed! I’m so grateful to all you who read my posts and interact with me through TFF. This past year has included so many special memories for me personally – like the birth of our second, Emma, and subsequently, a little less time for me to devote to blogging. But you were patient and stuck with me! Thank you! To celebrate Thrifty Family Finds’ 1 Year Blogiversary, I’m doing 4 Days of Giveaways! These giveaways are a few of my favorite things, and I’m so excited to share them! All of the giveaways are now live! If you didn’t see the other three giveaways, don’t worry, you can still enter by visiting their original posts: Candy-Free Easter Basket Ideas & $25 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway through Saturday night, March 29th. DIY Hair Tie Tutoria + Win A Set Of Hair Ties & An Etsy Gift Card through Sunday night, March 30th. Easy Diaper Cake Tutorial + Win An $80 Honest Company Gift Card through Tuesday night, April 1st.
I met Taylor our junior year of college when we were “flat-mates” with two other girls in an on-campus apartment. Little did I know then that she’d become one of my absolute best life-long friends! We had tons of adventures in college, and our friendship continued after graduation. We were bridesmaids in each others’ weddings and now we both have kids!
Taylor is truly an inspiration to me. She finished law school while maintaining a long distance relationship with her soldier and planning her wedding, as well as flying to Washington to be in mine during the last few weeks of law school! She’s moved several times because of the military, and has made the most of each new city.
Taylor and her family are currently stationed in Hawaii (lucky!) and while pregnant with her first child, she started up her business, Dear Olympia Furniture Revivals. Taylor began refinishing furniture using CeCe Caldwell’s paints because they are eco-friendly, without any VOC’s or fumes. They were safe for her to use without a mask while she was pregnant! And the paint is just gorgeous! I LOVE the variety of colors to choose from!
Since then, her business has grown! She now has a Dear Olympia Kiosk at the Honolulu Navy Exchange that sells CeCe Caldwell Paints and Finishes, as well as several different kinds of custom signs, jewelry and home decor from military spouse-owned businesses. If you live in Honolulu, make sure to check it out!
Not on the island? Don’t worry! Dear Olympia ships all over the world!
Now for a little inside scoop: Taylor is the reason that Thrifty Family Finds exists! She is the one that suggested I start blogging, showed me how to get started, and has been so helpful and inspiring along the way! She showed me that I can do anything I set out to do! Thanks, Taylor! 🙂
Congratulations to Ashlea C. for winning this giveaway! I’ve sent you an email with details on claiming your prize!
Thank you to everyone who participated! Stay tuned for more giveaways in the near future!
I really wanted to include Taylor and her wonderful business in my 4 Days of Giveaways, so one lucky winner will receive a $50 Gift Card to the Dear Olympia Shop! (It can also be used at the kiosk if you live nearby) Use it on paint, finishes, brushes, jewelry, home decor or signage! There are so many possibilities!
